Some thoughts and sites.

I'm waiting for Eldon's flight to arrive and pick him up.  Can't wait.  In the meantime I walked around the hotel after breakfast and took a few photos.  One is the bridge across the St. Lawrence River.  I think I sent one before from the car but this is from the hotel.  I can capture the old and new bridges.

There is a beautiful and healthy set of raised planter boxes.  Great veggies and herbs.  Nothing like this was visible when Nida and I were here in March of 2017 to order my Alto.  It was all white with snow.  And cold.

The other photo shows a Shell gas station that has an actually working phone in the phone booth.  Who would have thought they still exist!!!! I guess this is not just a changing room for Superman.  The price for regular 87 octane is for a liter not gallon price.  Canadian dollars too.

I also want to give you a quote to ponder.  No answer expected.  More to have you think.  It's a quote by Satchel Paige who was one of the original negros to play in the major baseball league.  He was playing still at what people think he was in his 50's.  He would get a lot of questions asking him "how old are you".  He never new since during slavery the paperwork wasn't always accurate.  So he would say:  How old would you be if you did not know how old you were.

Thanks for following my blog.

Arrived to hotel in Quebec, Canada!!!!

Hi again fans.  So after about 3792 miles on the road since Monday 7/2, I have arrived to Quebec.  Safe and sound.  The average mpg has been 19.7 and that surprised me with the Land Rover.  I imagine that will decrease pulling the trailer.
Yesterday, after stopping at a Tim Horton's (Like a Dunkin Donuts in Canada) I went to get back on the road and the car did not start.  All seemed fine but it just didn't start.  I called Auto Club and the guy got in the car and started it right up.  He did exactly what I was doing for the last 3000+ miles but it just didn't want to do it for me that time.  I'm ok with that, at least there wasn't anything wrong.  Just "user failure".
I'll put a couple photos here.  Hope everyone is well.

From hotel in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Hi fans,  I thought I'd catch up tonight but I am fading fast.  I'll just reassure you that I am enjoying this adventure and someday you'll see all the photos and hear all the stories.
Today I crossed the boarder from Port Huron, MI to Canada towards Toronto.  That went smoothly and I could see Lake Huron to my left and Lake Erie to the right.  Amazing.  Then when I got to Toronto itself, there was Lake Ontario which felt like I was looking at the Pacific Ocean.  OMG, so vast!!!!!  Since I had extra time today I decided to go and visit a friend, Marilou Buchler.  She actually is friends with mom but I got to meet her and later visited her a few years back when mom and I, Troadio and Erick paid her a visit too.  She was VERY happy to see me and felt so good that I took the time to detour her way.  It felt like the right thing to do.
So, I will just post a few photos to catch you guys up and I'll put some captions to add to the story.

My Nursing school classmate Dorothy and her hubby Andy.
They live in Crystal Lake, IL.  Yummy breakfast!!!

After leaving Dorothy's I "happen" to find this on the way
to the freeway.  I spent $4

I am BACK and blogging!!!!

Hi everyone!!!! I know that I started the blog a while back but nothing since the first entry.  That is because I was unsure (more like in a panic) of what to do to make new entries.  I even thought I had lost the first paragraph.  BUT I'm BACK!!!!
I am back because of our friends Tom and Wendy King who saved the day!!! Well, more like Tom did.  Wendy says he is her IT guy, well he is a great IT guy.  Thanks for spending so much time with me today on the phone to get me back on track Tom.

So tonight I am only making a quick entry to add these two photos to share the beginning of the adventure.  I will get my thoughts in order and tomorrow, from Toronto's hotel, I'll have more time to compose my follow up blog.

Feel free to add comments so everyone can share the remarks.  Be nice😉.
